Questo edificio per appartamenti sorge vicino al paese di Oga, un piccolo insediamento a 1.500 m di altezza circondato da boschi di conifere e affacciato su Bormio ed alcune delle più belle vette delle Alpi Centrali. La relazione con questo luogo così fortemente connotato si sviluppa da una parte nelle scelte materiche, con l’impiego di materiali locali come il legno e la pietra e dall’altra, essendo l’edificio collocato su un terreno a forte pendenza, nel progetto in sezione: come un terrazzamento artificiale, l’edificio è costituito infatti da sette volumi digradanti, riunificati in copertura da un piano inclinato parallelo al pendio, che viene traforato a creare grandi terrazze panoramiche verso Bormio e l’anfiteatro alpino circostante.

This apartment building is placed near Oga, a little settlement at a height of 1.500 mt surrounded by a conifer forest and with a view towards Bormio and some of the most beautiful mountains of the Central Alps. The relationship with such a strongly characterized place is developed on the one hand in the material choices, with the use of local materials as wood and stone and on the other hand, considering the steep grade the building is placed on, in the project in section; as an artificial terracing, the building is indeed constituted by seven sloping volumes, covered by an inclined plane that is parallel to the soil and that is perforated for creating wide panoramic terraces towards Bormio and the surrounding alpine amphiteatre.
