La mostra racconta il cambiamento climatico evidenziando le nuove azioni che l’architettura contemporanea ha messo in campo per fronteggiarne le conseguenze. Le 26 opere sono presentate in 5 sale corrispondenti agli elementi primordiali - acqua, aria, fuoco, terra, cosmo - e illustrate attraverso immagini e disegni, videointerviste e modelli.

La mostra è introdotta da una sala che racconta la sperimentazione di alcuni maestri del Novecento sull’adattamento a diversi tipi di clima. Hassan Fathy in Egitto e Paolo Soleri negli Stati Uniti per il caldo secco, Ralph Erskine in Inghilterra per il freddo e Glenn Murcutt in Australia per il caldo umido.

L’ultima sala raccoglie le opere in formato tridimensionale su un planisfero, mostrando come il cambiamento climatico riguardi diversi luoghi (in America, Asia, Europa, Oceania) e ambiti del progetto (architettura, paesaggio, urbanistica e infrastrutture).

The exhibition tells the climate change highlighting the new actions developed by contemporary architecture for facing its consequences. The 26 works are presented in 5 rooms that correspond to the primordial elements - water, air, fire, earth, cosmos - and illustrated through images and drawings, video interviews and models.

The exhibition is introduced by a room that describes the experimentation of some masters of the XX century on the adaptation with different climate types.

Hassan Fathy in Egypt and Paolo Soleri in the USA for the dry hot, Ralph Erskine in Newcastle for the cold and Glenn Murcutt in Australia for the humid hot.

The last room gathers all the works in 3D format on a planisphere, showing how the climate change regards many places (in America, Asia, Europe and Oceania) and fields of the project (architectural, landscape, urban and infrastructural design).
