MDB apartment 

Il progetto definisce una nuova distribuzione della zona notte ed il mantenimento dell'ampio locale della zona giorno, rinnovando i rivestimenti e gli impianti dell'appartamento.

Lo spazio ribassato dell'ingresso connette le due aree della casa: da un lato prosegue verso il corridoio di distribuzione delle camera, caratterizzato dal controsoffitto che alterna l'intonaco bianco alle superfici semitrasparenti che fungono da lucernari ma anche da ispezione per i macchinari del condizionamento. Dall'altro si apre verso la luminosa zona giorno che si sviluppa intorno alla cucina, dove l'isola centrale è sormontata da un portabottiglie in legno e vetro che illumina il piano di lavoro sottostante. Diverse le concezioni alle quali si sono ispirati i due bagni: il primo utilizza tonalità chiare e sulle quattro pareti con una variazione tattile sui rivestimenti, il secondo con un effetto più naturale con l'utilizzo di una pietra scura e dei tagli luminosi in corrispondenza delle nicchie e dello specchio.

The project creates a new distribution of the sleeping area and the maintenance of the large space of the living area, renewing the claddings and systems of the apartment.
The lowered space of the entrance connects the two areas of the house: on one side it is joined to the distribution corridor of the rooms, characterized by the false ceiling that alternates the white plaster with the semi-transparent surfaces that act as skylights but also as an inspection for the air conditioning machinery . On the other side, it opens towards the bright living area that develops around the kitchen, where the central furniture is surmounted by a wooden and glass bottle holder that illuminates the surface below. The two bathrooms were concived with different concepts: the first uses light colours on the four walls with a tactile variation, the second with a more natural effect with the use of a dark stone and luminous cuts in correspondence of the niches and mirror.
