La scrivania fa parte dell'arredo studiato per la seconda Selettiva del Mobile del 1957. Oltre alla scrivania, erano stati presentati un armadio, un letto ed una cassettiera. La scrivania è divisa formalmente e funzionalmente in tre parti, in modo asimmettrico: ai lati una cassettiera ed un mobile contenitore ad anta, sospesi rispetto a terra, ed un blocco centrale libero per la seduta. Particolare cura per il dettaglio è espressa in questo arredo: le otto gambe hanno un'anima in ottone, la cui testa rimane a vista lungo tutto lo sviluppo verticale, e sono rivestite da due elementi in legno a sezione triangolare che che si rastremano verso il basso, diventando a sezione rettangolare. Le gambe rimangono a vista sul top, che arretra in corrispondenza dell'incastro. Questo permette la visibilità della testa delle gambe e, ancora una volta, il contrasto tra l'anima metallica ed il rivestimento ligneo.

The desk is part of the furniture presented at the second Selettiva del Mobile in 1957. In addition to the desk, a wardrobe, a bed and a chest of drawers were presented. The desk is formally and functionally divided into three parts, asymmetrically: at the sides a chest of drawers and a cabinet with doors, suspended above the ground, and a free central block for the seat. Particular attention to detail is expressed in this furniture: the eight legs have a brass core, whose head remains visible throughout the vertical development, and are covered with two triangular-section wooden elements that taper towards the low, becoming a rectangular section. The legs remain visible on the top, which recedes at the joint. This allows the visibility of the head of the legs and, once again, the contrast between the metal core and the wooden covering.
