Nato come ampliamento di un vecchio edificio in muratura, sede ormai inadeguata a livello dimensionale ed estetico della precedente Esposizione Mobili, il progetto prevedeva il sopralzo di due piani della precedente struttura, effettuato tramite un reticolo di travi e pilastri in ferro per non caricare eccessivamente i piani sottostanti. 

Il progetto delle facciate, in muratura completamente intonacata, è caratterizzato da lunghi tagli orizzontali e ampie superfici vetrate, con pannelli frangisole sui fronti est ed ovest a modulare l'intensità della luce naturale.

Born as an extension of an old mason building, inadequate home at the dimensional and aesthetic level for the previous furniture exhibition, the project includes an enlargement with two floors of the former structure, carried out through a grid of beams and iron pillars not to load the floors below.

The project of the facades, completely plastered, is characterized by long horizontal cuts and wide glass surfaces, with brise-soleil panels on the east and west facades to regulate the intensity of the natural light.
