Il recupero del fienile situato nella campagna della provincia di Pisa rientra in una casistica molto diffusa nel territorio italiano, quello della sistemazione dei fabbricati agricoli in chiave sostenibile. Una volta preservata e consolidata la muratura del fienile esistente, rimossa la copertura, il progetto prevede l'inserimento di un corpo strutturalmente autonomo all'interno delle mura del fienile. Il nuovo volume, sorretto otto pilastri di acciaio, conterrà due piani di residenze, mentre lo spazio sottostante a piano terra verrà occupato dalle funzioni accessorie per l'edificio. Ogni appartamento è alimentato da un sistema composto da una pompa di calore aria – acqua da 8 kw con la quale sarà possibile produrre acqua calda ad uso sanitario e riscaldare l’ambiente Tutti gli impianti saranno alimentati dall'energia prodotta dall'impianto fotovoltaico.

he recovery of the barn situated in the countryside of Pisa represents a diffuse problem of the Italian landscape, the refruibishment of the farm buildings in a sustainable way. Once preserved and consolidated the walls of the existing barn,  the project involves the insertion of an autonomous structure within the walls of the barn. The new volume will contain two floors of residences, while the space of the ground floor will be occupied by the functional spaces for the building. Each apartment is powered by a system consisting of an air - water heat pump - 8 kw tha will allow to produce hot water for sanitary use and heating for the flats. All plants will be powered by the energy produced by the photovoltaic system.
