L’edificio, circondato da un giardino alberato, si trova in un’area residenziale nella zona dello scalo di Porta Romana, tra via dei Fontanili e via Ripamonti, e rappresenta la sua più importante realizzazione milanese. Costituito da nove livelli, il corpo di fabbrica è caratterizzato da una serie di variazioni che rispecchiano le diverse tipologie di alloggio all’interno, a partire dalla disposizione delle logge, come mostrano i piani terzo e quinto, e dei balconi, che ai piani quarto e settimo sono fuori sagoma rispetto al volume principale. Si ritrovano alcuni dettagli che già erano apparsi in altre opere comasche, dal disegno della recinzione metallica alla tessitura degli schermi filtranti sulla facciata posteriore; anche in questo caso, l’ultimo piano ospita una grande terrazza panoramica.

The building, surrounded by a shady garden, is placed in a residential area near Porta Romana Railyard, between via Fontanili and via Ripamonti, and represents his most important Milanese realization. The nine-storeys volume is characterized by a series of variations that mirror the different typologies of the dwellings, starting from the disposition of the lodges, as visible in the third and fifth floor, and of the balconies, that at athe fourth and seventh level are out of the building profile. The project shows a few details that appeared also in other previous works, from the design of the metal fence to the texture of the filtering screens on the back facade; also in this case, the last floor hossts a wide panoramic terrace.
