Lo scrittoio è caratterizzato dalla presenza di un piano di lavoro che termina in un vano contenitore di forma cilindrica. Al di sotto del piano sono collocati dei cassetti. L'arredo contrappone la leggerezza del basamento in metallo allo scultoreo piano di lavoro: le gambe seguono un disegno geometrico dalle linee sottili (variata, come forma, in fase di realizzazione) e sostengono il gioco dei volumi pieni del top in legno.Questo contrasto è evidente anche nell'uso di materiali, il metallo nero per la base, e il legno naturale di palissandro per il mobile, con top impiallacciato in acero precomposto con un disegno simmetrico. Il modello farà da riferimento per numerosi progetti successivi, anche per diverse tipologie di mobili, come alcune cassettiere. Lo scrittoio misura 130 cm di lunghezza per 80 cm di profondità ed un'altezza di 72 cm.

The desk is characterized by the presence of a writing top that ends in an openable container cylinder. Below the top are drawers. The furniture contrasts the lightness of the metal base with the sculptural work surface: if in the first the linear and rigorous structure is interspersed with large areas of emptiness, the upper part is characterized by a composition of solid forms that break the geometric matrix. This contrast is also evident in the use of materials, the black metal for the base, and the natural rosewood for the furniture, with a veneered maple top with a symmetrical design. The model will be the reference for many subsequent projects, even for different typologies of furniture, such as some chest of drawers . The desk measures 130 cm long by 80 cm deep and 72 cm high.
