artigiani del mobile building

1959

Cantù (CO)

Built on a small area overlooking the main square of Cantù, the building consists of a grid of beams and pillars in iron, already experienced in the construction of the CEM - Consorzio Esposizione Mobili, which helped to reduce considerably the size of the structures in favour of the exhibition space. This solution, almost for a prefabricated building, easy to handle and assemble, has ensured rapid assembly time, overcoming the problems given by the  full occupation of the area, characterized by the absence of space for maneuver and by an intense traffic. In reference to the particular destination, the facades have a single front window that faces the square, with a module repeated horizontally and vertically that consists of the uprights and stringers of aluminum window frames.
