condominio milano

Cantù (CO)

This building is placed between Via Milano, an important connection road towards Mariano Comense, and via Andina, where several schools were realized. The plan derives from the relationship with these two not perpendicular axes. The ground floor is commercial, the other six are residential, with three dwellings at the floor-type. The last floor is characterized by a set back of the volume; over it there is a canopy, supported by small pillars, for the protection of the facade. The structure is in reinforced concrete and the slabs are made in reinforced concrete with bricks; in the entryway the pavement is in Bronzetto marble, the walls are covered in slabs of travertine; the cladding is in travertine at the ground floor, with stoneware tiles at the upper floors.
