architecture and design
The project concerns the recovery of a rural residential building made around the early XIX century and now in complete state of abandonment. The building was constituted by the main villa, former residence of the factor, and by a series of rustic buildings, used as stores and dwellings for the peasants. The choice of what to retrieve and how to intervene was prompted by the structural and distribution problems of the existing building and by the study of the new destinations, with the subdivision of the complex in spaces for four families. We preferred to maintain the volume of the villa, with targeted structural interventions, demolishing and rebuilding with the same dimensions the body of the rustic buildings that had very degraded and difficult recovery.
