design contest for two residential buildings
Casorate Primo (PV)

The project consists of two blocks, each one of four floors, which overlook the central public space, conceived as a place to meet and socialize. In terms of orientation, the buildings were arranged by aligning the major axis along east-west: the contrast, resulting from the differences orientation two blocks and the surrounding settlements will be solved through the design of open spaces. It was necessary to conceive the building spaces as flexible as possible for the accommodation of different housing needs for every kind of users. About this, the issue of flexibility has been developed according to two different principles: on  one hand, the modificabilty, on the other the adaptability of the interior spaces.
