Affacciato sulla piazza principale di Cantù, l'edificio è costituito da un reticolo di travi e pilastri in ferro, sperimentato già nella costruzione del CEM, che ha permesso di ridurre in modo considerevole la dimensione delle strutture portanti a favore dello spazio espositivo. Questo tipo di soluzione quasi da prefabbricato, facile da gestire e da assemblare, ha garantito anche rapidi tempi di montaggio, superando le problematiche poste dall'occupazione completa di un’area caratterizzata dall’assenza di spazi di manovra e da una viabilità intensa. In riferimento alla particolare destinazione, le facciate presentano un unico fronte finestrato che si affaccia sulla piazza, scandito da un modulo ripetuto sia in orizzontale che in verticale e costituito dai montanti e dai traversi dei serramenti in alluminio.

Built on a small area overlooking the main square of Cantù, the building consists of a grid of iron beams and pillars – a technique already experienced in the construction of the Furniture Exhibition and Consortium Building – that helped to reduce considerably the size of the structures in favor of the exhibition space. 

This solution, usually typical of a prefabricated building in its being easy to handle and assemble, ensured a rapid assembly time, overcoming the problems given by the full occupation of the area, characterized by the absence of space for maneuver and by an intense traffic. 

In reference to the particular destination, the facades have a single front window that faces the square, with a module repeated horizontally and vertically that consists of the uprights and stringers of the aluminum window frames.
