L’edificio sorge su uno dei lotti che separano la principale strada pedonale del centro da Via Roma, di fronte ai Giardini Pubblici e a Viila Calvi, fino a qualche anno fa sede del Comune di Cantù. Il piano terra è interamente commerciale, mentre quelli superiori sono dedicati alle abitazioni e agli uffici. I fronti sono differenziati in accordo alla valorizzazione delle visuali e all’uso degli spazi interni. Il fronte ovest verso i Giardini, simmetrico, è diviso in 4 moduli: i due laterali sono dedicati alle logge, quelli centrali da superfici vetrate a tutta altezza. Il fronte sud è diviso in due parti uguali da 4 finestre allineate in verticale più 3 finestre allineate in orizzontale nel solo piano degli uffici. La porta di ingresso, le ringhiere, l’intero androne (caratterizzato dalla ripetizione di alcuni portali in legno di diverse altezze) sono di realizzazione artigianale su disegno.

The building is placed on one of the parcels that separate the main pedestrian road of the city center from Via Roma, in front of the public gardens and Villa Calvi. The ground floor is entirely commercial, the upper ones are devoted to the dwellings and the offices. The facades are differentiated according with the panoramic views and the use of the interior spaces. The west elevation towards the gardens, symmetrical, is divided in four modules: the two at the sides are for lodges, the central ones to glass surfaces. The south elevation is divide in two by four windows vertically aligned plus three windows that are aligned horizontally only for the floor that hosts the offices. The entrance door, the railing, the entryway (characterized by the repetition of several wooden gates, with different heights) are designed by the author, and realized by local craftsmen.
